Soft Archery

A great introduction to the fun of archery. This activity comes with two sets of roundel targets, each with lightweight bow, and arrows with protective rubber suction cups. Suitable for ages 6 years and upwards.

Adventure Play Area

Great play area with swings, chute, bridges, fort and traversing wall

Free to use, but must be supervised by adults.

Backwoods Cooking

A covered area set back in the woodland, to practice fire lighting and backwoods cooking skills.

Booking essential. Free to use.

Jubilee Shelter

The jubilee shelter has an open front, and wood chip floor. It is an ideal base for activities with squirrels, cubs, beavers, brownies or rainbows visiting the site for the day. It can also act as a wet weather venue for scouts and guides camping onsite. Permanent BBQs are available for use – just bring charcoal.

Booking recommended. Fee by arrangement with the warden.

Bat Detectors

Come and listen for our bats using our bat detector. This is a great activity from Spring to Autumn. A small fee is charged.

GPS Trail

Use a handheld GPS device to follow a trail around The Craigs campsite.

Labyrinth

A series of interconnected tunnels and (creepy) crawling galleries to test the nerves and stamina. Try it forwards, try it backwards, try it blindfold, try it without a torch,…. try it! (and watch out for ‘the squeeze’!)
